
Angela Sumegi is the founder and director of the Palyul Namdroling Foundation Canada charity, and senior meditation instructor of the Ottawa Palyul Centre. As a long-standing student of His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche and Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso Rinpoche, she guides and encourages the Ottawa Palyul Sangha in their efforts to deepen their understanding of the Buddha Dharma in all its richness, and to establish a place where the teachings of the Palyul lineage may prosper and be of benefit to all.
In the 1980’s Angela lived for five years in South India where she became acquainted with Namdroling monastery. She received initiation from HH Penor Rinpoche at Namdroling monastery in 1985, and since then has regarded him as her root Guru.
